FROM FEATURES TO A SHORTLIST

How to choose a Microsoft 365 plan

Start with the work your users do, then check the security and administration your organisation needs. Compare the shortlisted plans above before requesting a quote.

Do users need desktop apps?

Business Basic supports browser and mobile working. If users need installed Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, include Business Standard or Business Premium in your shortlist.

What needs protecting?

Assess business email, user access and company-owned or personal devices. Business Premium adds identity, endpoint protection and device management capabilities that need to be configured for your environment.

What does the organisation need?

For larger teams or more advanced compliance requirements, compare Enterprise options. Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suites have different inclusions, so check the exact features rather than relying on the E3 or E5 name alone.

Microsoft 365 comparison questions

What is the main difference between Basic, Standard and Premium?

Business Basic focuses on web and mobile apps, business email and cloud services. Business Standard adds installed desktop apps. Business Premium combines productivity with additional identity, device management and security capabilities. Use the feature table to check the specific differences.

Should we compare Business or Enterprise plans?

Compare Business plans when they fit your organisation's licence limits and feature requirements. Review Enterprise plans for larger requirements or more advanced security and compliance needs. Microsoft 365 and Office 365 Enterprise suites differ in Windows, identity and device-management inclusions.

How do we compare plans with and without Teams?

Use the subscription variant selector above to change the Teams row. Confirm the exact variant in your quote. A separate Teams licence may be needed if you select a subscription without Teams and still require Teams.

Can different users have different plans?

Yes, plans can be matched to user requirements. Security and management benefits require the appropriate licences for users who benefit. Anjana Cloud9 can help review a mixed-plan approach.

Why aren’t prices listed here?

Pricing depends on the subscription variant, commitment, billing term, quantities and applicable taxes. Request a quote for current pricing and an agreed service scope.

Does Premium replace every security product?

No. Premium includes specific identity, endpoint and email protections. Advanced security, compliance and server requirements may need additional licences and configuration.
