Professional Consulting Services LLC
Professional Consulting Services LLC is a U.S.-based firm providing customized strategic, financial, and IT consulting services to both government and private-sector clients. Their technology infrastructure was previously distributed across local data centers and legacy virtualized environments, leading to issues in performance, scalability, and administrative overhead. Anjana Cloud Services conducted a comprehensive discovery and assessment of their existing workloads and recommended a full migration to AWS to enable greater agility, compliance, and operational resilience.
Testimony
“Anjana Cloud Services supported us in securely migrating our Windows-based infrastructure and databases to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and zero data loss. Their solution design addressed performance bottlenecks and security concerns while giving us the agility to scale services for new client engagements. We’ve seen considerable improvements in performance and cost optimization since migrating.”
The Client
Professional Consulting Services LLC offers integrated consulting services across IT modernization, project management, and compliance support. Their internal systems included project tracking tools, document management portals, and secure collaboration environments—all built on Microsoft Windows workloads (Active Directory, Windows Servers, SQL Server) and hosted across fragmented on-premise setups. The lack of cloud-native capabilities made it challenging to adapt to dynamic client requirements and compliance standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and FedRAMP
The Challenge
The organization operated a legacy on-premises 3CX voice communication system built on Windows workloads with MS SQL Server as the backend. The system required manual configuration for users and call flow management, leading to increased administrative overhead and limited automation. Performance issues were common during peak usage hours, especially for remote users accessing voice services over VPN. The infrastructure lacked elasticity to scale with growing call volumes and new customer onboarding requirements. Managing Windows servers and SQL infrastructure on-premises resulted in high operational complexity, frequent maintenance, and increased costs. Moreover, the absence of cloud-native features such as high availability, automated backups, and disaster recovery left the system vulnerable to downtime and data loss, hampering overall reliability and business continuity efforts.
The Solution
To address the legacy limitations of the on-premises 3CX voice communication system, Anjana Cloud Services implemented a comprehensive migration strategy focused on modernizing the underlying infrastructure on AWS while maintaining business continuity. The solution involved migrating core workloads—including Windows-based 3CX application servers and MS SQL Server databases—to AWS using AWS Server Migration Service (SMS) and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS). Amazon EC2 was used to host Windows-based workloads, while Amazon RDS for SQL Server provided a managed, scalable, and highly available backend database environment. Amazon S3 was adopted for secure storage of call recordings, configuration files, and related documentation. Networking was securely isolated using Amazon VPC, with identity and access managed via IAM policies. Operational visibility and compliance were enhanced through centralized monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail. The architecture was designed to deliver improved performance, scalability for user growth, cost efficiency, and resilience, while eliminating the need for Active Directory, streamlining administrative operations in the cloud.
Benefits
With a modern AWS-based infrastructure in place, Professional Consulting Services LLC has achieved a 35% reduction in infrastructure costs through resource optimization, improved client service delivery via scalable and resilient application hosting, and an enhanced compliance posture through centralized identity management and audit trails. Performance for collaboration tools used by distributed teams has significantly improved, and the foundation is now set for future adoption of AI/ML-powered analytics on AWS. Anjana Cloud Services' Well-Architected migration strategy enabled the organization to overcome legacy infrastructure limitations and transition to a future-ready IT model that supports consulting excellence, digital innovation, and long-term business growth.
